Market open higher, Reliance, ITC, HDFC Bank earnings in focus

Sensex nifty up Sensex, Nifty edged higher in early trade led by Asian stock’s firmness and the GST council in its last meet slashed the tax rate on 54 services and 29 items together easing the return filing process for businesses boosted sentiment. Q3 earnings heavy weight companies like HDFC Bank, ITC Ltd, Reliance Industries and Wirpro are also under focus. 

The BSE Sensex was trading at 35,384.30, up 124 points, while the broader Nifty 50 index was ruling at 10,843, up 25 points in later morning hours.

HDFC Bank, HCL Technologies, Reliance Industries Ltd, ITC Ltd, and Wipro Ltd are among the major companies that will be unveiling their Q3 results on Friday.

Major contributors to Sensex gain include Reliance Industries Limited, HDFC, Adani Ports, ITC Ltd, SBI and Larsen and Toubro.

Shares of HCL Technologies rose 0.4 percent after the company retained its full fiscal year revenue and margin growth guidance.

Private banking stocks were also among the major gainers with those of Yes Bank up 1.8 percent.
Bharti Airtel Ltd shares fell 1% and were the worst hit on Nifty50 index, since the company reported an 11 pct on-quarter decline in its consolidated net profit.

Sensex trades above 34,900, Nifty near 10,760, IT stocks rise

The BSE index Sensex was up 69.80 points at 34,913.31 and the NSE Nifty was up 16 points at 10,757.55 in the morning hours.

Shares of prominent companies such as Tata Consultancy services, Infosys Ltd, Wipro Ltd, HCL Tech and Tech Mahindra inched up in the morning trades.

Shares of Federal Bank fell 3.3 percent to Rs. 110.45 after the bank reported higher gross and net slippages.

Shares of HDFC shed over 1 percent on the back of profit booking after the Company’s share jumped over 7 percent intraday to hit an all-time peak with its M-Cap crossing Rs 3.00 lakh crore yesterday .

Shares of Hindustan Unilever Ltd rose about 1.6 percent to a 52-week high of Rs 1,389 in the morning hours.

Shares of TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, and HUL were among the top gainers on BSE Sensex while HDFC, Reliance Industries, Tata Steel, Asian Paints and Power Grid fell upto 1.5 percent with HDFC losing the most.

Nifty, Sensex hit fresh record highs on Monday, Investment Stock Future

The BSE Sensex was trading at 34,361 levels, up 208 points, while the NSE Nifty50 was ruling at 10,618, up 50 points in the later morning hours.

Shares of Sun Pharma, Lupin, Aurobindo, Cipla and GAIL India were the top gainers on Nifty 50, while shares of Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilver and HCL Tech were the top losers in today’s trade. Shares of L&T touched 52-week high after the company won orders worth Rs. 2265.00 croes.

Jaypee Infratech’s share rose nearly 10 percent on reports that Lodha Group and Tata Housing have filed initial bids to take over the company following its insolvency proceedings.

The Nifty Pharma Index rose 2 percent on expectation of a pickup in earnings. Sun Pharm and Yes Bank were among the top gainers on the Nifty50 Index, on the other side shares of Bharti Airtel were the biggest loser.

Sensex and Nifty peak fresh record high, Idea Cellular gains

Shares Idea Cellular limited rose on the back of fundraising plans that involves raising Rs 3250 crore by selling shares on a preferential basis.

Shares of Maruti Suzuki, Yes Bank, Adani Ports, TCS, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel gained up to 2.25% and were among the top gainers of Sensex stocks. The heavyweight shares such as TCS, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, HDFC Bank, ITC, L&T, Yes Bank, HDFC, and contributed the most to the Sensex upsurge.

The Nifty Metal Index rose higher, led by gains in shares of Hindalco Industries and Vedanta, over 1 percent, tracking the overnight rise in global metal prices.

The Indian rupee gained more strength, ending at a fresh 2½ year high against the US dollar on Thursday. The rupee opened down by 5 paise at 63.58, but very swiftly pared the morning losses and added 16 paise to hit a day’s high of 63.37 vs the US dollar.

Sensex, Nifty trade higher, auto Stocks and banking stocks fall

Stock trading tips Sensex and Nifty were trading higher in early trade, tracking positive signs from Asian markets and continued rally in metal stocks. The BSE Sensex was up 42.12 points or 0.12% at 33,835.50. The NSE Nifty-50 index was up 13.60 points or 0.13% at 10,456.50 in the late morning hours. Shares of ONGC, Dr. Reddy’s and IndusInd Bank rose, whereas shares of ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and Yes Bank fell. 

Metal stocks keep on gaining on the back of growing global commodity prices. The Nifty Metal Index rose 0.5 percent in early trade, led by more than one percent gains in shares of Vedanta Ltd and Welspun Corp.

Tata Motors fell 1.1% to Rs.252 after the company announced its US JLR sales fell 9.4 percent to 11,394 units. Shares of Oil & Natural Gas rose 1.3 percent to Rs. 196.15 after international crude oil prices hit a 3-year high.

In Nifty-50 index, shares of Asian Paints and ONGC rose 1.5%, each, Dr. Reddy’s rose 1.2% and Coal India up 1% as the top gainers while Shares of Tata Motors fell 1.4%, HCL Tech slipped 1.06%, ICICI Bank down 0.86%, Yes Bank down 0.55% and Sun Pharma lose 0.41% as the top losers in today’s trade.
