Sensex, Nifty trade higher, auto Stocks and banking stocks fall

Stock trading tips Sensex and Nifty were trading higher in early trade, tracking positive signs from Asian markets and continued rally in metal stocks. The BSE Sensex was up 42.12 points or 0.12% at 33,835.50. The NSE Nifty-50 index was up 13.60 points or 0.13% at 10,456.50 in the late morning hours. Shares of ONGC, Dr. Reddy’s and IndusInd Bank rose, whereas shares of ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and Yes Bank fell. 

Metal stocks keep on gaining on the back of growing global commodity prices. The Nifty Metal Index rose 0.5 percent in early trade, led by more than one percent gains in shares of Vedanta Ltd and Welspun Corp.

Tata Motors fell 1.1% to Rs.252 after the company announced its US JLR sales fell 9.4 percent to 11,394 units. Shares of Oil & Natural Gas rose 1.3 percent to Rs. 196.15 after international crude oil prices hit a 3-year high.

In Nifty-50 index, shares of Asian Paints and ONGC rose 1.5%, each, Dr. Reddy’s rose 1.2% and Coal India up 1% as the top gainers while Shares of Tata Motors fell 1.4%, HCL Tech slipped 1.06%, ICICI Bank down 0.86%, Yes Bank down 0.55% and Sun Pharma lose 0.41% as the top losers in today’s trade.

Sensex rises 143 points, Nifty near 10,500, RIL, SBI, ICICI Bank top gainers

stock trading tips India’s share markets extended gains to open higher on Wednesday on positive global cues, with Sensex & Nifty inching up by 0.3 percent.

The BSE Sensex was trading 143 points at a high of 33,955.21 and NSE Nifty added 51.65 points to mark the day’s high at 10,493.85.

Shares of Reliance Industries, Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, SBI, Yes Bank, HUL,  Tata Steel were the major gainers among the Sensex stocks while Infosys, Dr Reddy’s, HDFC Bank, ONGC, Asian Paints, Tata Motors slipped upto 2 percent. The heavyweight stocks such as Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, TCS, ITC, SBI, Larsen and Toubro contributed the most to the Sensex gains.

Metal stocks continued to keep up momentum on the back of rising global commodity prices. The Nifty Metal index advanced 0.8 percent in early trade, led by over 1 percent rise in shares of Vedanta Limited and Tata Steel Limited.

Meanwhile, the Indian rupee rose the 4-day rising streak on Wednesday. The domestic currency made a top of 63.50 per US dollar on Wednesday, and was trading down 2 paise at 63.50 against the US dollar.

Investment Advisory, Stock Indices open flat, PSU banks rise, IT companies slip

happy new year Sensex, Nifty started the New Year 2018 on a subdued note, opening flat due to lack of major triggers in the morning session. The BSE Sensex was trading at 34,085, up 28.59 points, while the Nifty 50 was ruling at 10,534.55, up 3.85 points in later morning hours. The BSE Midcap & Small-cap indices were up 0.4% and 0.5%, respectively.

Shares of I.T companies pressured to profit booking, as the Nifty IT index slipped 0.5 percent in early trade, led by near 1 percent losses in Tech Mahindra, TCS and Wipro stocks.

Shares of IndiaBulls Housing Finance rose 3%, SBI rose 0.79%, Indian Oil Corporation rose 0.78%), BPCL rose 0.73% and Airtel gained 0.63% as the top gainers on Nifty50, whereas shares of Infratel, Wipro, TCS, Hindalco and Bajaj Auto were the top losers in today’s trade.

The Nifty PSU Bank index rose 0.4 percent, led by shares of Bank of India, which spiked 4% on Rs22.6-billion capital infusion, while Shares of automobile companies were mostly mixed as the auto sector companies unveil their sales figures of December month, later today.

Sensex, Nifty record highs, RCom shares gain, Investment Advice in Intraday

stock market investment Key indices opened little higher on Friday with Sensex and Nifty nearing their respective all time highs. The BSE Sensex gained 170.69 points to open at 34,018.72 and the NSE Nifty added 45.25 points to open at 10,523.15 in the later morning hours.

Shares of Tata Steel, Power Grid, Larsen & Toubro, Adani Ports, SBI, Sun Pharma, NTPC, Axis Bank were the major gainers, while shares of Wipro, ICICI Bank, and M&M lost up to 0.2% on Friday.

Shares Reliance Communication (RCom) jumped 21% as the company reportedly plans to sell its

wireless infrastructure assets, spectrum, tower etc’to Reliance Jio Infocomm. The stock of RCom has more than tripled in the last one week.

The NSE Nifty Metal Index rose 0.6 percent, tracking higher global commodity prices. All the sectoral indices of NSE were trading in green with Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Pharma, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Auto leading the charge.

The Indian rupee was trading a bit higher against US at 64.03 per dollar, up 0.08 percent from its Thursday’s close of 64.08.
