Oil & Gas Stock Rallies, Post Lunch Hours

crude oil Oil & Gas company stocks are rising up with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation, Castrol India and Petronet LNG, on buying and selling momentum, in the afternoon hours on Thursday. The BSE Oil & Gas index used to be buying and selling 0.38 up at 15,632. However, stocks of Indraprastha Gas, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Oil India, GAIL (India) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation have been buying and selling.

Among the 51 stocks within the Nifty 50 index, 36 stocks have been buying and selling within the inexperienced, whereas 14 socks have been within the pink. Infosys, State Bank of India, Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors and NTPC have been among the top gainers within the Sensex index.

Stock movements in early hours: Shares JP Associates Ltd fell 7.3% to Rs. 19.75 after the Supreme Court directed its directors to personally appear in court and disclose personal assets. Shares of Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd fell 3.2 percent, and Jaypee Infratech Ltd was down 2.6 percent.

Shares of Future Enterprises Ltd rose 3 percent to Rs 49.20 after the company reported narrowed loss for its Q2 earnings to Rs. 1.94 crore from Rs. 23.24 crore a year ago.

Shares of  Adani Entertainment Ltd rose 3 percent to Rs. 157.05 after the company reported 9.5 percent increase in its net profit to Rs 844 crore.

Shares of Bharti Airtel Ltd  opened the trading day up by 1 percent while Bharti Infratel Limited plunged 2.3 percent in early trade.

Stock in Focus: In another development, Jaiprakash Associates Limited has informed the Exchange that JSW Infrastructure would get associated with the company in the resolution plan of Jaypee Infratech Limited (JIL). The stock will be in limelight on Tuesday.

Idea Cellular Ltd and Vodafone India have agreed to sell their standalone tower biz to ATC Telecom Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd for about 1.2 billion dollars.

Adani Enterprises Ltd has posted a net loss of over Rs. 15.00 crore in the Q2FY18 as posted in its Q2FY18 results announced after market hours on Monday.

Sensex Nifty up Sensex and Nifty take cues from the positive US markets to trade on a positive note with BSE Sensex trading at 33,402 levels, up by 32 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,357 levels, up by 7 points at 10.40 am on Wednesday. Pharma Sector gains strong footing with positive Q2 earnings from many companies. IT stocks trading higher with TCS, Wipro Ltd, Infosys Ltd, Tech Mahindra and HCL Technologies in the morning hours.

Quarterly Results:- Voltas Ltd, Ashok Leyland, Arvind Ltd, United Bank Limited, OBC, Bharat Forge, Petronet LNG, Balkrishna Industries, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals, IRB Infra, NDTV, Muthoot Finance and Thermax are scheduled to release their quarterly earnings for the Sept quarter on Wednesday.

Stock in Actions:- AkzoNobel India has said it will sell its specialty chemicals biz as a going concern to an affiliate of the AkzoNobel Group-NV Netharlands for Rs 320 crore. 

Larsen & Toubro (L&T): Schneider Electric SE, the French industrial multinational together with its consortium partner Temasek, has in business with L&T to acquire its electric and automation division for Rs 15,000-Rs 17,000 cr.

Glaxo Smith Kline has reported 4.73% rise in net profit at Rs.192.41 cr for the Q2 ended Sept 30, 2017-18. The company had posted net profit of Rs .183.72 cr in the same period of previous year.
Reliance Communications is re-negotiating its deal with Canadian investment fund Brookfield along with other prospective buyers for a stake in its tower unit.

Telecom stocks will be in focus as the TRAI is considering removal of the 50% limit on spectrum holdings within a particular band. This would help Vodafone and Idea retain all their airwaves once the merger is completed.
