Sensex, Nifty trade higher, auto Stocks and banking stocks fall

Stock trading tips Sensex and Nifty were trading higher in early trade, tracking positive signs from Asian markets and continued rally in metal stocks. The BSE Sensex was up 42.12 points or 0.12% at 33,835.50. The NSE Nifty-50 index was up 13.60 points or 0.13% at 10,456.50 in the late morning hours. Shares of ONGC, Dr. Reddy’s and IndusInd Bank rose, whereas shares of ICICI Bank, Tata Motors and Yes Bank fell. 

Metal stocks keep on gaining on the back of growing global commodity prices. The Nifty Metal Index rose 0.5 percent in early trade, led by more than one percent gains in shares of Vedanta Ltd and Welspun Corp.

Tata Motors fell 1.1% to Rs.252 after the company announced its US JLR sales fell 9.4 percent to 11,394 units. Shares of Oil & Natural Gas rose 1.3 percent to Rs. 196.15 after international crude oil prices hit a 3-year high.

In Nifty-50 index, shares of Asian Paints and ONGC rose 1.5%, each, Dr. Reddy’s rose 1.2% and Coal India up 1% as the top gainers while Shares of Tata Motors fell 1.4%, HCL Tech slipped 1.06%, ICICI Bank down 0.86%, Yes Bank down 0.55% and Sun Pharma lose 0.41% as the top losers in today’s trade.

Sensex Nifty rise today Live Market- BSE Sensex rose 137.23 points to 33,294.45, while the NSE Nifty gained 46 points to 10, 369.05 at 10.36 am on Monday. The shares of Maruti Suzuki, ONGC, Bharti Airtel rose, whereas the shares of Kotak Bank and Dr Reddy’s fell, while Indian rupee rose against the dollar.

ONGC shares gained 2.91% to Rs. 188.90. The net profit of the company rose 3.1% to Rs. 5,131 crore in July-Sept quarter from Rs. 4,975 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Aviation stocks lead gains as Jet Airways stock rose 7% and Inter Globe Aviation rose 1.7% while SpiceJet Ltd adds 2.6%.

Banking stocks were trading higher in the morning hours. Stocks of Syndicate Bank rose 3.6%, PNB 3.4%, OBC 2.7%, Bank of India 2.7%, Indian Bank 1.9%, Allahabad Bank and Union Bank of India, Yes Bank Corporation Bank rose 1.7% each, while Central Bank of India up1.6%.

Auto stocks rose in the morning hours such as Maruti Suzuki India Ltd up 1.2% to Rs. 8,215.20. Maruti Suzuhi’s net sales rose 21.8% to Rs. 21,428.1 crore, mainly due to better product mix.
The rupee opened at 64.92 per dollar and was trading at 64.90 against the dollar, up 0.24% from its last close of 65.05.

The key equity benchmark Sensex & Nifty opened slightly higher on Tuesday as many of the Asian stocks rose in the early trade today. The hope in a good second quarter earnings for the financial year 2018 and macro-economic data also brought up the market sentiments. After 11.00 am, the BSE Sensex is trading at 31980, up by 133 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,025 up by 37 points.

Reliance infra rise 2% as it enters into exclusivity deal with Adani Transmission Ltd which rose 10% to sell Mumbai City Power Biz, while Fortis Healthcare stock trades slightly higher after 13.7 lakh shares change hands in a block deal.

TCS stocks in focus that the company said that its UK-based subsidiary, Diligenta, secured a 15-year partnership with Scottish Widows, Lloyds Banking Group’s Life and Pensions business.

ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co enters on equity market today. The company priced the IPO at the top end of the Rs 651 to 661 price band.

TVS Motors announced that its scooter brand, TVS Jupiter, registered sales of two million units within four years of its launch.

IDBI Bank has announced that the bank tied up with Boston Consulting Group to boost financial health. With this support IDBI Bank hopes to capitalize on core strengths and improve existing products and processes.

Petron Engg Construction said it bagged order worth Rs 280 crore from JSW Steel, for supply, fabrication, erection and alignment of prefabricated steel structure.

Reliance Power said the company aims to achieve financial closure for its 1-billion dollar LNG-fired power plant in Bangladesh by the end of 2017-18, and it also on the lookout for acquisition of assets in India.

Stock Market opens higher on Monday. The Nifty also rises in opening hours after a long weekend. Infosys Ltd was holding its opening gains and was trading at Rs 941.65 share apiece, up by 3.23%. At 10.50 mornings, Sensex was trading at 31,764 levels up by 168 points, while Nifty was at 9,912 levels up 56 points.
