11 Jan Sensex, Nifty trading flat, O&G, capital goods down

Sensex Nifty flat note India’s share markets began on a cautious note on Thursday as investors were eagerly waiting for the Q3 earnings of TCS and IndusInd Bank. 

The BSE index Sensex was down 23 points at 34,409 levels and the NSE index Nifty was down 13 points at 10,618 levels in the later morning hours.

Oil and gas index fell 0.2%, followed by capital goods 0.14%, banking 0.11% and PSU 0.08%, while the realty stocks gained the most by 1.25%, consumer durables 0.32%, IT 0.3 percent.

Top Sensex gainers were includes Kotak Bank, Bharti Airtel, Infosys Ltd, Tata Motors and ONGC. On the other hand the major losers were Axis Bank, Wipro, Coal India, ICICI Bank and YES Bank.

Stocks of Maruti Suzuki India spiked 0.16 percent at Rs 9,398.85 after the company announced a price in its variants owing to increase in commodity and allied costs.

Sensex, Nifty were trading flat, PSU bank stocks fell, auto shares gain

sensex nifty down India stock markets have opened Wednesday on a flattish note. The BSE Sensex is trading lower by 19.65 points at 33,817.05 while the NSE Nifty is trading lower by 4.95 points at 10,458.25 in later morning hours.

Sectorally, Stocks of automobile and energy witnessing maximum buying interest, while banking sector & FMCG stocks opened the day in red. Shares of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd touched Rs. 10,000-mark. After opening at Rs. 9970 against the previous close of Rs 9804.50, the scrip crossed an intraday peak of 10,000 and a low of Rs 9,864.35.

Shares of Religare Enterprises Ltd rose 5 percent to Rs73.15 after Edelweiss announced it will take in Religare’s securities operations.

Shares of Reliance Communications (RCom) rose 5.7 percent to Rs. 13.50, after the group of bond-holders of RCom has hired advisers after the company defaulted on its dollar-denominated notes earlier.

PSU Banks including. PNB, Indian Overseas Bank, Syndicate Bank, sbi among other fell in the early hours.
Bitcoin prices declined near 10% to less than USD 17,000 on Tuesday, while The Indian rupee is trading at 64.12 to the US dollar.

Sensex & Nifty open weak ahead of RBI policy; rupee falls against USD

stock market down Stock Tips – Sensex, Nifty opened lower on Wednesday before the outcome RBI’s bi-monthly policy meeting due later today. At 11 am, BSE Sensex lost 68.78 points to 32,735.66 while NSE Nifty dropped 29.30 points at 10,088.95. The Indian rupee falls 6 paise to 64.44 against the U.S dollar at the interbank FX market ahead of the result of RBI’s monetary policy.

Shares of Reliance Industries cut the losses of key indices whereas, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, ITC, HDFC dragged.

Shares of Infosys Ltd, Coal India Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Sun Pharma were the only major gainers on Sensex after Reliance, rose up to 0.6 percent while SBI, Tata Steel, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and ITC traded in red.

In Nifty-50 pack, shares of Tech Mahindra, Reliance Industries, Infosys, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Zee Entertainment were the top gainers, while Hindalco Vedanta, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto and Eicher were the top losers in today’s trade.

Sensex gains, GDP growth hit a 3-quarter high

GDP Growth Sensex and Nifty recovered on Friday after falling deeply as India’s GDP growth hit a three-quarter high of 6.3% in Jul-September.

The Automobile stocks such as Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki were among the major gainers on Sensex pack as auto companies announce their vehicle sales growth for the month of November.

The stock of Bharti Airtel lost the most among the Sensex stocks, down 1.2%. Shares of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation , Tata Motors, Larson & Toubro, Maruti Suzuki, ITC, TCS, Hero MotoCorp and Kotak Mahindra Bank gained up to 1.2 percent, while shares of Coal India, Bharti Airtel and HDFC were the major losers.

In Nifty Index, United Phosphorus Ltd, Tata Motors, Bosch, Zee Entertainment, and ONGC gained the most, while Hindalco, Bharti Airtel, Cipla, IOC and Coal India were the top losers.
